The RARA ATV group is now the Illinois Chapter of ATN (Amateur Television Network).

The repeater has an input of 1250 MHz and 434.00 MHz and an output of 421.23 MHz, channel 57 on a cable ready TV. In the future we are planning to add links to widen the range beyond the Rockford area to better serve surrounding communities.
We are having good progress on the new ATV repeater. The repeater has been on the air transmitting for over one year from St. Anthony Hospital on East State Street, Rockford, IL. Many have tested the reception from their homes by taking a cable ready TV, putting it on CABLE channel 57 and hooking the TV to to an outside antenna that is pointing toward St. Anthony Hospital. The repeater identifies once every 10 minutes for about 10-15 seconds.

The Repeater
To join the ATV group, dues have been set at $50 per year. The dues go to the ATV fund and membership in ATN-Illinois. The ATV dues do NOT include RARA membership dues. Dues collected for the ATV Group will be kept separate from RARA funds and distributed by the ATV Group. We encourage that ATV members to support RARA.
